On a starlit Wednesday night in February of this year, about 10 members of the Outsider Motorcycle Club are gathered in MB’s Garden Inn in Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines. It is the weekly meeting of the club’s Mactan chapter, although members from other chapters are also present.

Notorious “Outlaws” Biker Gang linked to illegal Drug Trade with Abu Sayaf Terrorists

The southern Philippine island of  Basilan, a lair of the Abu Sayyaf bandit group, has become a major transit point for illegal drug shipments from the “Golden Triangle” in Indochina. Aside from acting as protector of foreign drug trafficking syndicates, the Abu Sayyaf also controls a “thriving marijuana production post,” the Manila Times on-line news Wednesday quoted Sakib Salajin,Mayor of Maluso town in Basilan, as saying.

Biker slain in QC shootout

MANILA, Philippines – A motorcycle rider, who ignored policemen conducting an anti-crime operation, was slain after he traded shots with the lawmen in Quezon City on Sunday afternoon.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Chief Superintendent Richard Albano said the unidentified man was armed with a .45 caliber pistol.

He was with a female back rider, who ran away, when they were flagged down in Barangay San Isidro at around 5 p.m.

QCPD Station 11 commander Superintendent Victor Pagulayan said the two were flagged down after they were spotted riding a motorcycle – which had no license plates – without wearing helmets.

The suspect died on the scene following the gun battle.

Tough new laws target Australian biker gangs

Tough new laws to combat biker gangs were passed in an Australian state Wednesday as authorities seek to “destroy these criminal organisations” that have become a growing menace across the country.
